Established in 2020
Leathercraft came into my life in the mid-seventies, helping my father as a teenager, sewing the inside of his hand carved wallets. Some 40 years later I have rediscovered Leathercraft with a passion.
Rather than leather carving, I have focused on combining beautiful leathers and hand stitching, creating functional pieces for everyday use.
The saddle stitch provides a strong, dependable, while beautiful method of building leather items. It takes time to hand stitch, but the results are worth it, especially in high use items like wallets and bags. Thread colours are matched to compliment the leather—not always selecting the most obvious choices.
Edges are burnished or folded as appropriate, to give a lifetime of use.
